GE Trailer Fleet Services
Idea: Our GE Trailer Fleet Services (TFS) client was challenged with contributing to a corporate goal of increasing private ownership of GE stock and reducing reliance on institutional investors via broader consumer news visibility. The custom- built 53-foot technology demonstration trailer, the Mobile Solutions Center, was created to educate GE trucking industry customers on how tracking big rig trailers with the GE VeriWise™ asset intelligence system can increase productivity and save money.
Our agency developed and pitched news story angles to the media that resonated with consumers and showed how trailer tracking (and GE innovation) is improving highway safety and homeland security.
Power: RT&E helped drive a national media tour for GE TFS Mobile Solutions Center that logged over 80,000 miles and was the focal point of 143 separate events in North America.The results: more than two million media impressions, including coverage in Wired magazine, four local TV broadcast reports and feature stories in the business sections of leading daily newspapers in Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and other major cities. The editorial results enabled the TFS business to lead all GE businesses globally for consistent, positive news coverage.
